How Link Worlds works
A room is a link
Press Open a door and you get a race room at its own address, like linkworlds.fun/r/k7mq2a. Post it on X. Everyone who clicks lands on your grid, no sign-up, in the browser on a phone too.
The race
Eight karts, three laps. Up to eight people per room; bots fill the empty karts so a race always has a pack. A new race starts 10 seconds after the last one, and while you wait you can warm up on the track.
Drift for boosts. Hold Space (or DRIFT on a phone) through a turn: sparks go blue, orange, then pink. Let go and you get a short, longer or longest boost. Yellow arrows on the road boost you too.
Item boxes. Drive through one to get a boost or a banana. Press E (ITEM) to use it. A kart that hits a banana spins out.
Keys: W or ↑ to drive, S or ↓ to brake, A D or ← → to steer, Space to drift, E to use an item. On a phone the kart drives itself forward; you steer, drift and brake.
Points
Places among the people in a race pay 10, 7, 5, 4, 3 for the top five, then 2 for the top half and 1 for everyone else who finished. Bots set the pace but take no points. A race counts when at least two people cross the line after three laps.
The person who made the link gets 3 points for every new player who scores in their room this week. A new player is a new device on a new network; your own visits do not count.
The week
Weeks end on Monday at 00:00 UTC. Half of the $ROOM creator fees collected that week is the prize: 70% goes to the top 50 players by points, 30% to the top 20 link makers, each in proportion to their points. Prizes go out as plain SOL transfers and every transaction is listed on the week page.
To receive a prize, link a wallet on the week page by signing one message. Signing costs nothing and moves nothing.
$ROOM
A linked wallet that holds at least 100,000 $ROOM doubles its points for the week, as a player and as a link maker. Creator fees split 50% weekly prize, 30% buying $ROOM back and burning it, 20% the game servers.
Fair play
Only two devices from one network score in the same race. The server checks every kart's speed and laps; a kart that moves faster than any boost allows is held back. No wallet takes more than 10% of a week's pool; what is left rolls into the next week, as do prizes under 0.001 SOL.
